Karen’s interest in storybooking began years ago when she started to love to do family sideshows and put the story with the pictures. Now, Karen loves to preserve the memories. "I can’t imagine anything more powerful and inspiring than the way I feel about my husband, my sons and my family. They have made me want to remember the stories of the family."

As a business professional, and registered nurse, Karen has used "storybooking" to help individuals and their families deal with complex issues such as chronic/terminal illness, memory loss and aging. She also offers storybook instruction at many hospitals and church groups. Her strongest area is the children or adults touched by cancer. Helping them to storybook has helped to direct their energy in a very powerful way. Watching children create stories is so much fun and extremely touching.
